Amber & Jason, Engaged. Franklin, Indiana

Meet Amber & Jason. We had their engagement session a few months back on a hot summer evening in Franklin, where they reside. I love how they incorporated his passion of military service and firefighting. If you are a family member of either, you know it is not only work but your whole WORLD.

This past weekend, they were married at Harrison Lake Country Club. It was a pleasure to be a part of their big day (and to met Amber's mother and grandma, I just LOVED them). These engagement photos looked amazing on the projector screen at the reception! Amber did a fantastic job with all the details and I cannot wait to dig into the images.

Thank you both for a being great to work with.

Schneider Family. Columbus, Indiana.

Last fall (just in time for Christmas cards)-  I had this family on my calendar. We had to reschedule several times, ok maybe 7 times! Rain days & then I think half the family had the stomach flu (at different times).   I am so glad Kylie had the patience and humor it took to keep their appt. and not give up. I knew of Kelly and knew some of their family, but had never officially met her. She is one of those people I clicked with instantly (maybe because we had to text soo much about rescheduling, lol). These boys keep her on her toes and I was so happy to finally photograph this beautiful family! Hope I can see you again real soon.

Along with warmer weather comes some rain and many family sessions. This family is pretty darn special to us! My brother & sister in law and their very energetic son Kadel! He just wants to run &  run, play ball, and throw some rocks. I love how his smile is ALL or nothing.

Happy to call these folks my family and have them in front of my camera again.

Joanna, Yoga Instructor. Columbus, Indiana.

I personally discovered my love for yoga over 2 years ago. For the last year, I let life get in the way and had a set back from my practice. Well, a friend invited me to join her at class a month ago, and man am I glad I made the time! I have been going back 2-3 times a week since. I have even continued my practice at home. Yoga is so much more than stretching and doing handstands. Yoga forces me to breath deeper, set my daily intentions, meditate, open my mind, stretch my body and share the light and joy of life with others. It makes me a better person and helps keep my flexible and active. I would recommend it to anyone no matter how old or young and how in or out of shape you are.
Meet this lovely yoga instructor, Joanna. I had taken one of her yoga classes on a Saturday morning in the past. So I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph her practice and journey ~ she is amazing and seriously a ray of light. Other than teaching yoga, she is also a school therapist. Joanna said getting her instructor certification was definitely life changing. I wish my schedule allowed for me to take her evening classes. Be sure to follow her yoga journey on her Instagram and take one of her classes at Uptown Yoga.
